What you want to learn or complete can be categorised in simpler often smaller objectives that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time related.
Whether learning a new language or memorising the twelve times tables, having clearing defined parameters of what level you want to achieve is imperative before starting.
Step 2
Set a timer for the duration of the work to 45 minutes.
When creating your task the SMART way, you already thought about the Time aspect. Some tasks may take a week, a month or maybe a year to complete. Here however we are focusing on brain performance and minimising distractions to help with concentration and productivity.
Focusing in 45 minutes to 1 hour intervals will improve attention and absorption of studied material.
Step 3
Work on the task until the timer beeps. This way you will can avoid distractions, notifications and get delve deeper into the material if required.
Step 4
Repeat the cycle taking a rest every interval. Complete this cycle 4 time and find yourself creating valuable results from shorter time spans.
